Video Content Creator
Film TikToks/reels of Bay Area spots. Create content weekly. Work with Strategy to fill in the content calendar monthly & stay flexible to what content comes up. Find new local spots that would be great to support.
Create clear and creative content for Facebook and LinkedIn, emphasizing the stories of the businesses and people we write about. Collaborating with rest of marketing and strategy to brainstorm and develop a variety of marketing materials. Meeting with co-founders to understand company’s message, brand voice and target audience. Interpreting creative direction and technical information and turning them into persuasive copy concepts.
Contact small businesses to set up meetings Via Instagram, email, phone, in-person visits. Record interviews with the owner using high-quality equipment. Edit the interviews to post on social media/the app (once launched).
Photo Content Creator
Take pictures of Bay Area spots. Create content weekly. Work with Strategy to fill in the content calendar monthly & stay flexible to what content comes up. Find new local spots that would be great to support.
Social Media & Marketing Analytics
Review IG/TikToks analytics to see what works/doesn’t work. See what does work in order to lend to our strengths and weaknesses. Analyze competitors to see how our strategies compare to theirs. Find strategies from other successful companies to implement. Create reports in Google Sheets to analyze the data that we have (Ex. pivot tables, graphs, daily reports on our social media).
Social Media & Marketing Strategy
Work with analytics to understand how to play to our strengths and fill in our weaknesses. Work with creators to fill in the content calendar monthly. Come up with strategies on how to pivot to get more followers/views on our platforms. Invent tactics to differentiate our social media and show our mission/ideas. Research competitors to understand our strongest differentiators.
Design & create website that will display information about the app and its history. Work with UX/UI Designers to revise design & innovate best interactive site. Review design & be critical of it, making it the best version it can be. Conduct competitive (landscape) analyses of other apps that operate in the same space.
Research accelerators for Locals to apply to. Help the co-founders complete applications for the accelerators. Find investors we can network with that would be promising. People that would align with the founders in background or passion, etc. Work with financial Strategy to Research VC’s to understand the industry and see how we can pitch ourselves.
Create user journey map, wireframes, prototype, visual design (mockups/animations) for development team based on co-founder's vision. Review design & be critical of it, making it the best version it can be. Conduct competitive (landscape) analyses of other apps that operate in the same space. Prepare customer analyses based on our target demographic and initial transactions. Participate in creating a content development strategy.
Research new streams of funding (look up grants, other platforms where we can apply for funds). Strengthen our crowdfunding campaigns (gofundme & ifundwomen) to increase donations. Create new strategies to get funding before we pursue pre-seed funding. Work with Financial Strategy intern to Brainstorm new ideas for revenue streams & future financial strategies.
Set metrics for when we should pursue pre-seed funding. Work with Financial Growth to Research VC’s to understand the industry and see how we can pitch ourselves. Improve upon our pitch deck and how we pose the problem & solution. Identify the strengths and weaknesses in our financial revenue streams. Work with Funding Intern to Brainstorm new ideas for revenue streams & future financial strategies. Assist with the financial portion of the business plan
